The analog lover in me has been doing point and shoot film photography for the last couple years. I have an Olympus OM-10, a Kodak half frame, and a newly acquired 1980s Ricoh.
On my June trip to NYC, I shot almost exclusively on film and just found out one of my rolls was completely blank (I cried). This has happened before so I always think to check.
Just wanted to check if there are any other analog fans out there, what are you shooting on, favorite film, developer labs or other tips?

in the 70s and 80s I shot a lot of b&w and had access to labs and darkrooms to process and print everything. it was fun. I did a lot of street photography back then. but wildlife and nature photography is what I do primarily and you're running and gunning most of the time and the slow, deliberate method with film photography doesn't really work nearly as well for that. also, color film, I guess because of the three layers of emulsion, doesn't produce the crispness when printed that black and white film or digital photography does. so, I cut film photography loose decades ago.
I do find it interesting that there has been an ongoing resurgence of film photography. and I find it even more interesting that many camera manufacturers, like nikon and fuji and Leica, offer digital camera models that supposedly make people feel like they are shooting with film.

I have posted film photos in the weekly set a few times. I've only been shooting film for about 18 months, but the lessons I learn from it also help in my digital shooting. I kicked "spray and pray" out of my vocabulary (way too spendy on film, lol).

Doing film, being B & W or color, is a totally different beast. I shot film for over 30 years and loved it. Now I am full frame and mirrorless and on a endless learning curve. Still have my OM-1 camera and lenses from the 70's, yes I am an old!! HaHa :)

@Evan Yurko you're not old! You're evergreen!! I still have a Canon (forget the model). I just gave my Pentax away recently. I still have a bunch of old film era lenses, that I love taking out every once in a while.

Well I have a Pentax Super A loaded with HP5 and just about ready to develop. It's my first adventure into film since the 80's and I'm researching on setups for scanning.

I used to do film and developing. It got too expensive for me. I will never forget the smell of the blix.

I started with film. But gave it up, cause it was so expensive in India to get an develop film. I still have a canon film camera that my grandmother-in-law bequeathed to me. Some of my older ones from like 2012 and prior, mostly of my friends, and one from my cousin's wedding
