Feedback Plz: Turning Your Photography Into A Business

Posted by Ken Deckinger on the Big Photo Hunt community board.

Hi Everyone :-) - \ \ I'm doing a little research for some new feature ideas for the Big Photo Hunt and I'd love your feedback.\ \ Basically, I'm wondering two things:\ \ 1 - Have you ever wanted to turn your photography into a business (or have you already done so)?\ 2 - If so, what are some things you need help with or find challenging? Anything that comes to mind (i.e., website, accounting, finding buyers, whatever...)? \ \ Or frankly, if not... Why not?\ \ Thank you!\ :-) Ken

I have been trying to see if I can sell my photography online. However, given my apathy towards most of social media, it's almost impossible to get any traction, in terms of reaching an audience.

I have also tried to reach out to local photographers who have a business and partnering with them, but haven't had a lot of tractions that way either.

Lastly, this is my personal opinion, but I don't think street photography is something people are generally attracted to, especially in terms of putting up on their walls. Specially when there's a stranger's face on it
