I enjoyed reading about Julie Hrudova · Amsterdam-based street photographer

I enjoyed reading Julie Hrudova. It was pretty good. It reminded me of my newspaper days. I did not have a week to shoot assignments. I shot 3-4 assignments or got free art daily. I did enjoy reading about the thought process behind her work. I recommend this article.

Hi Ralph, this is Julie, thanks a lot, good to hear.
Assignments are indeed different as there's always a subject, whereas I always have to find something, without any theme requests. Usually I do it in one evening, chasing and observing and making the most out of my available time. Over the years I had to figure out a system for this, instead of running around hastily for hours without capturing a good photo.

I've made my first online course about this process, called 'Read the Street & Stop Missing the Moment'. It's all about observing and anticipating on the street, so that special moments don't slip away. I've a discount offer special for this community with the code HUNT15 - you can find all info here: https://juliehrudova.plugandpay.com/readthestreet

Not sure if you saw but there's a link to play the podcast (audio) episode with her too on that page: https://bigphotohunt.com/podcast/why-great-street-photos-dont-explain-themselves-with-julie-hrudova/

Thanks for sharing these photos. They're exciting. Were you a sports photographer?
